Early Music Workshop

K'antu Ensemble workshops are a great way to experience the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. They are tailored to groups of young children of primary school age, although any enthusiastic parent or beginner musician/singer is welcome to take part.

The workshop will include the chance to see reconstructions of rare instruments played by K'antu Ensemble in their concerts. The goal is to give young audiences a flavour of this vibrant musical tradition through an interactive session and to develop their aural and coordination skills through listening games, dance and interactive percussion.

The Ensemble will begin the workshop by introducing and demonstrating the different instruments. They then move on to teaching a variety of musical games and dances which are coupled with live performance by the band.
