When best friends Jackie and Pat said they were just nipping out for some fags, their husbands didn't think they'd be long - that was a month ago...

Rather than popping down to the shops, the two good time girls jumped on a plane to America for the jolly of a lifetime! Pat is going to marry Bubba, a prisoner on death row she has fallen in love with on the internet, and Jackie is going to be her maid of honour. To add to the excitement, their adventure is being filmed by Channel 5.

Back home, Pat's husband Bobby enlists Bernie - a faded drag queen, to look after the kids - while he and Jackie's hubby follow Man City around Europe. But when a family tragedy threatens to destroy them it's left to Bobby to become the man no one thought he was.
