Bromsgrove Festival - Words: Scripting The Archers
Joanna Toye, Archers scriptwriter and author of The Ambridge Chronicles, takes us behind the scenes to reveal some fascinating - and surprising - facts about the storylines, past and present, drawn from the extensive Archers archives.
She also gives an insight into how the programme is made, why it has its roots just down the road at Hanbury, and why it's always been - and let's hope always will be - such an important part of the Midlands landscape.
Methane bubbles are set alight to make fireballs, hydrogen balloons explode and rockets are fired into the audience. Stand back and cover your ears – theatre just got dangerously exciting!
Two futuristic science students race against time to prove their knowledge of energy. With help from the incredible virtual lab-assistant, i-nstein, and a steampunk workshop full of gadgets and chemicals, they explore, experiment and explode anything and everything they can find, live on stage.
Produced by Science Museum in London, this show is suitable for everyone aged 7+.
