Children Of The Nineties
Speaker: Professor Jean Golding, University of Bristol
The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) (or Children of the 90s) is a groundbreaking research project by the University of Bristol which enrolled more than 14,000 mothers during pregnancy in 1991 and 1992. The health and development of their children has been followed in great detail. Led by Professor Golding, the project provides a vast amount of genetic and environmental information assisting scientists all over the world and providing an amazing snapshot of children in the UK at this time.
