The Love Food Halloween Festival: Love Food Festival
Join the Love Food gang as they celebrate their love of food with this fun filled, spooktacular festival. There is so much fun to be had for all ages including a huge treat filled indoor Love Food market, a sensational line up of global street food, some superbly scary fun for children, a well stocked local bar, café, music and a whole load of love!
Love Food will be joined by local two extraordinary local sculptors, Hiatt Evans and Laurens Nockels, who'll be on hand to carve some truly amazing Jack o'lanterns. Feel free to bring your own pumpkin with you or buy one at the festival.
There's also a fancy dress competition with some great prizes, toffee apple making, Halloween themed arts and crafts and garlic planting to keep those vampires away! Plus a free children's capoeira workshop; a Brazilian art form which excellently combines martial arts, music and dance.
The picnic area will be home to some of the finest street food on the planet. Highlights include The 'El Gaucho' BBQ serving slow roasted fillet of Ruby Red Beef with their own south American sauce – this stuff is life changing!!! Jerk chicken from local legends Agnes Spencer's. Cider hero Mr Dick Willows will be in charge of the bar and will be keeping everyone all toasty with their super spicy hot cider and the Great Cake Cafe will taking care of afternoon tea.
A celebration of food! Love Food aims to get both children and adults learning about how and where our food should come from, how to grow and cook their own food, and generally sparking an interest in the topic through various mediums including hands on experience, tasting, art, movement and storytelling. Regular events held throughout the year in Bristol.
