Women’s Rights – Women Wronged
To celebrate International Women’s Day African Initiatives are hosting their 3rd Annual International Women’s Rights Conference, hosting local, national and international organisations and individuals discussing a variety of women’s rights issues.
Key note speaker will be Rebecca Seidhu from the Community Self Reliance Centre in Ghana.
There will be workshops including:
Vicky Burroughs from UNISON – Women’s equality in the UK – reality or myth?
Hebah Aboud – Honour based killings
Sally Reith from Shared Interest – Fair-trade in Kenya
Lisa Zimmerman from Integrate Bristol – Domestic Violence and Female Genital Mutilation
Lunch and refreshments provided.
