Brighton Fringe: The Immigrant Diaries : Sajeela Kershi, Sameena Zehra
Sajeela's parents arrived in the uk in the early hours of a cold winter's night with all their possessions, 3 children and 3000 cigarettes all stuffed in a scooby do van.
Sameena was born in the UK but was sent back to Kashmir by her parents to live with her grandmother who fought off terrorists like mosquitos. Statistics don't really tell the story of immigrants in the UK, people do.
Go see and hear stars from entertainment share their fascinating very personal stories of being the new kid in a new country starting a new life.
Funny, poignant, ridiculous and sublime; the stories from people who choose to live and work on this marvellously mongrel island.

Sajeela has performed comedy since 2006 all over the UK and abroad including taking shows to the Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brighton Fringes as well as performing at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, Hackney Finalist 2011.
