About this event
A perfect family day out whether or not you are a guitar anorak! During the day you can browse hand made guitars in the beautiful, historic High Barn, a grade II listed building and state-of-the-art music venue, and talk to the craftsmen who made them; participate in workshops (all levels welcome) or just watch and listen, or even make your own cigar-box guitar under the expert guidance of Chickenbone John. Included in the ticket price is a spectacular evening concert featuring expert guitarists and singers demonstrating a variety of guitar styles.
One under-12 gets in free with each adult.
Ewan McLennan
2011 BBC Folk Awards 'Horizon' award winner and a fast-rising young Folk star, Edinburgh-born Ewan has been making headlines over the last year, performing at festivals, clubs, and concert halls across the country. He combines traditional music from around Britain and beyond with his own earthy, self-penned songs, creating a unique and compelling sound. He has a gorgeous, lilting voice, a quietly assured and commanding presence and some smart guitar arrangements.
