Betwixt And Between - Gayle Chong Kwan

South Square Gallery is pleased to present Betwixt and Between, an exhibition by internationally renowned artist Gayle Chong Kwan. The artist will experiment with discarded and overlooked objects to create a new installation for South Square.

Visitors are invited to follow Chong Kwan in exploring the space between sleep, awakening, imagination and reality. The development of Chong Kwan's work often involves sensory activities, participative research, and historical or archaeological inquiry to create settings through which fantastical experiences can take place.

Trainee Curator Charlie Booth says: 'The multi-sensory landscapes Gayle Chong Kwan creates are beautiful and delicate in their creation. By unlocking the personal memory through the senses they offer a way for the audience to transcend everyday reality and access a more extraordinary realm.'
