Oh What A Lovely War
A promenade performance, taking place within the beautiful, atmospheric rooms and grounds of South Hill Park.
This community show draws together local writers, directors and performers to celebrate the play's 50th anniversary and to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Built upon the songs that British soldiers sang during the war, this immersive production takes the audience on a satirical and deeply moving journey through an exciting variety of spaces. From the giddy revelry of the recruitment tent, through to an opulent military ballroom and down to the harrowing sights and smells of the trenches.
