In this hilarious black comedy, spinsters Martha & Abby Brewster have taken to murdering lonely old men by poisoning them with a glass of home-made eldeberry wine laced with poison.

There's a brother who believes he is Theodore Roosevelt and digs locks for the Panama Canal in the cellar. Another murderous brother has received plastic surgery performed by an alcoholic accomplice, Dr. Einstein, to conceal his identity.

And the hero, Mortimer Brewster, played by Cary Grant in the classic film version, debates what to do while dealing with his crazy, homicidal family and the local police.
