Legends from the world of Blues are coming together to help raise money for, long-serving member of Roy Wood’s Wizzard [Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, See My Baby Jive] and King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys saxophonist, Mike Burney

Sax player Mike Burney is without doubt one of the greatest musicians Birmingham has ever produced. His illustrious playing career spans over four decades; performing onstage and recording with the likes of Chaka Khan, Jimmy Cliff, The Beach Boys, Sammy Davis Jnr, Petula Clark, Steve Winwood, Dionne Warwick, Bob Hope, Billy Eckstine, Mel Torme, Cliff Richard, Cilla Black, Dionne Warwick, Matt Monro and many more.

Mike is currently suffering from cancer and unable to work, so times are tough. Last year his Rock friends [Roy Wood Band, Steve Gibbons Band, King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys] played a benefit concert for Mike, now it’s the turn for his Blues Friend’s to step in and perform to raise money for a musician they all respect.
