Family Concert - Incredible Adventures: City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO)
Step into Symphony Hall this afternoon, and it won’t be a Sunday in Birmingham any more – you’ll be whisked off on an incredible musical adventure with the CBSO.
The orchestra will be conjuring up scary dancing skeletons and wild pirates in music from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and the Pirates of the Caribbean films. And an adventure isn’t complete without a few superheroes, so you’ll hear music from The Incredibles too. To take part in the adventure yourself, you’re invited to bring along a small musical instrument.
City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO)
Founded in 1920, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra has always had an illustrious career. In fact, the first concert was conducted by Sir Edward Elgar. The orchestra has grown into a 90-piece ensemble with a worldwide reputation.
