Russ Winstanley, High Fidelity

At 2am in the early hours of Sunday, 23 September 1973, Wigan Casino opened its doors for its first ever Northern Soul all-nighter, with Russ Winstanley on the decks. Before long, young people from all over the UK were making the trek to hear the latest Northern Soul sounds and to dance through the night until dawn. Queues to get in were often seven or eight people deep, as Northern Soul fans clamoured to get in.

Tonight, Russ will be playing all of the Casino classics during the night, so bring your talcum powder and dance! Between the legend's sets, High Fidelity will be playing Motown, Funk, Soul, Disco, Reggae, Northern, 60s Beat and Popcorn! Sadly, it's not an all-nighter and it's not a weekender, but this one-night "High Fidelity Presents" is going to be something special to remember.
