Mozart On Differing Keyboards - Piano Vs Fortepiano
Birmingham City University (BCU) International Piano Academy Course director Di Xiao and pianist Sharona Joshua present this fascinating and unique concert that gives the audience the opportunity learn the differences between ancient and contemporary instruments through two wonderful Mozart sonatas.
The performers will present the same music on both fortepiano and modern piano to reveal the differences in phrasing, fingering and interpretation at different periods in history. You will be invited to see the difference for yourself by trying both instruments at the end of the concert.
This concert is one of 10 public events that make up the BCU International Piano Academy 2014.
