Sainsbury's British Championships

The country's best athletes will gather at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium as they battle it out for the prestigious honour of being crowned British champion.

With the European Championships in Zurich approaching, places on the GB and NI team will also be available over the course of the weekend. The top two athletes in each event, assuming they have an eligible qualification standard, will be automatically selected for the European Championships, which take place on 12th-17th August in the Swiss city.

Following its success during the indoor season, British Athletics' Club:Connect campaign to reward and recognise the work of clubs will continue with points on offer for clubs in each event.

For the first time, in addition to world class athletics there will be a festival at the Alexander Stadium featuring live music, a fairground and other superb entertainment.
