Tango de Amor - Tango Workshop

This workshop will be led by the dancers in Martin Alvarado - Tango de Amor, Guillermo Torrens and Maria Maragaki, highly acclaimed tango dancers of international renown.

They have both performed with Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, of Strictly Coming Dancing fame, in their successful West End touring show, Midnight Tango. They also won Latin UK Awards for 'Tango Teachers of the Year' and 'Tango Performers of the Year' last year when Guillermo also performed at the Classic Brit Awards with star guitarist Milos at the Royal Albert Hall.

As TangoUnlimited, Guillermo, from Argentina, and his wife, Maria, from Greece, are based in Newcastle upon Tyne where they are dedicated to the teaching of authentic Argentine tango in the North East of England but are also invited to teach all over the UK and abroad.

They aim to convey the improvised and creative essence of this elegant, sensual and enchanting dance from South America.

There is no need for a partner in this class which is aimed at absolute beginners but can accommodate dancers of all levels. It helps to wear loose fitting clothes and shoes with a slippery sole.
