Havelock Nelson Concert: Studio Symphony Orchestra
Led by Ottie Maas, conducted by David Openshaw and featuring soloist, Ioana Petcu-Colan, the Studio Symphony Orchestra performs Elgar’s Cockaigne Overture and Rachmaninoff’s second symphony in this annual tribute concert to their founder, Dr. Havelock Nelson.
Directed by members of the Ulster Orchestra, the Studio Symphony is a recognised leader in amateur music making, specialising in staging large scale works which deserve to be heard live, but which are rarely staged rofessionally due to the costs involved.
