Red Rock 2014 in aid of N. Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke

The Emerald Armada was brought to life with the soul ambition of creating music from all of life's little inspirations. Since 2010 the Armada has foot stomped, knees up'd and even the odd crowded surfed around the UK & Ireland. They will be joined by Hurdles & Freaks on Wednesday 1st October.

Belfast indie pop 4 piece, Hurdles, have been playing live together since October 2012. Having released 3 singles, 'Pictures', 'Paper Soldiers' and 'Kaleidoscope', all of which have received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Ulster, they present their debut EP, 'Where toStart' for your listening pleasure.

Freak’s are a 4 piece alternative indie band hailing from Strabane. In recent times things have gone from strength to strength for Freak’s, having their first single ‘Number One’ played weekly on BBC Ulster's Across the Line and also featured in their ‘Best NI tracks of 2014’ show to making their festival main stage debut. Their second release ‘A Minute More’ has had equal appraisal, seeing them feature as the live house band for ATL and also getting air-time on BBC Introducing with Jen & Ally on Radio One.

Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke is the local charity for the care and prevention of chest, heart and stroke illnesses. Their vision for Northern Ireland is one where everyone can live life to the full, free from chest, heart and stroke illnesses. To achieve this work is focused in four areas: Care Services (cardiac services, respiratory services, stroke services and Self Management Programmes to help clients cope with a long term condition), Prevention and Health Promotion, Research and Policies. All funds are raised within Northern Ireland and are spent within Northern Ireland.
