Kummerspeck will be an installation, inspired by the German word after which it is named, that seals and commemorates forever the stories of the everyday, the tiny food acts that we commit to comfort ourselves during life's major and minor tragedies.

Selina will be working at The Civic to begin shaping two years' worth of donated stories into the third part of her Edible Women project, which explores the fat body, dieting, control around food, and how much of a mess she can get away with creating with an audience and a taste for excess.
