The Shadow Of A Gunman

Moy Theatre Group, one of Northern Ireland’s leading amateur companies, presents Sean O’Casey’s classic drama. Set in Dublin during the spring of 1920, guerrilla companies of the I.R.A. are locked in a vicious struggle with the British Crown Forces for control of the city of Dublin. In a block of flats, a self-styled poet and a superstitious door-to-door salesman live out their separate existences. Each has his own ideas on life, death and politics. Both have opted out of the problems surrounding the Irish people. Unknown to either, however, the war on the streets is soon to crash in on top of them.
