2013 Shanes Castle May Day Steam Rally

A vintage steam rally held in the picturesque grounds of Shanes Castle Estate. There will upwards of 1,000 exhibitors comprising 35 full size steam engines, 15 model steam engines, 250 vintage tractors, 250 vintage cars, 80 vintage commercials, 120 stationary engines, other vintage machinery, 100 trade and autojumble trade stands, a craft marquee with 70 stands, many working exhibits and demonstrations, main arena attractions, a huge fairground and the usual catering and bar facilities. Attracts upwards of 20,000 visitors over the 2 days. Free car parking.
