Simple Minds

The summer concerts in the Pastures at Alnwick Castle are back this year with a vengeance with Scottish rock band, Simple Minds, performing on Saturday, August 16th.

Simple Minds, fronted by vocalist Jim Kerr and formed in 1977, headlines on the Saturday evening.

The group has had a string of Top 20 UK singles, including Don’t You (Forget About Me), which reached Number One in the US charts.

With more than 35 years of performing behind them, as well as three Number One successes on the UK album chart, Simple Minds continue to tour regularly.

Promoter Keith Louch, of KAL Music, said: “They are a superb live band and we are excited that they have agreed to perform at Alnwick.”
