The Harcourt Players

The Harcourt players are Simon Othen and Luke Wurmli, they have written musical scores for two classic silent movies from the early 1900s: Buster Keaton’s The Goat, and Charlie Chaplin’s Pay Day.

With the audience focused on the films, The Harcourt Players weave their way through these two hilarious 25-minute classics, and two silent movie shorts, highlighting the ups and downs, chases and falling in love scenes, using an array of instruments such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, harmonicas and a variety of percussion.

So come and enjoy an evening with two of the silent movie era’s greats and laugh your socks off (banana peels not included!).
