Made In Dagenham

Based on the 2010 film of the same name, the London stage production opened at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End in October 2014 starring Gemma Arterton with a sea of four and five star reviews.

Now for the first time, Midlands’ audiences will get to see the musical that brings to life the story of the women of Ford Dagenham who stand up to challenge equal pay for their newly classified “unskilled” stitching-room job roles.

Rachel Davies from Stourbridge will play Rita O’Grady – who leads the factory walk-out and John Whetherall from Walsall will play her husband Eddie. Other factory girls are Lorraine Foggin who plays Beryl, Sally Pugh is Claire, Tasheka Coe is Cass and Claire Flavell is Sandra. Sarah Moors will play Labour politician Barbara Castle and Tim Jones is Prime Minister Harold Wilson. A cast of talented local performers will play supporting roles.
