NOTICE
In light of recent events involving the spread of COVID-19, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone all future shows and bookings, until such time as we are able to reschedule them. Whilst this is hugely disappointing, the health and safety of our school community and the general public is of the utmost importance. Therefore, for the time being, the planetarium will be exclusively used by our students.

If you have booked a ticket for one of our public shows, your payment will be held and a place made available to you on the rescheduled date. Organisers of private bookings and those on the Spacewalkers holiday course will be contacted individually with more information.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation at this difficult time. We are not taking this decision lightly, and hope you will join us for more space exploration in the future!
--------------------------------------

Have you ever wondered what it's like to stand on another planet? To fly through the stars and beyond the reach of spacecraft? Sit back and relax as we take you on an interstellar journey like no other! Take a tour through our night sky, the solar system and beyond, as our 360° screen immerses you in the vastness of our universe. In this show, you'll become an astronaut, traversing space at the touch of a button.

This hour-long show is entirely led by our presenter, who is in complete control of a virtual universe. Stars and planets appear in real time and outstanding detail as you navigate space from the comfort of your seat. Real data from spacecraft and telescopes is used to produce stunning and accurate depictions of astronomical objects, from our neighbouring planets to other galaxies.

You'll begin at the Earth's surface, treated to a view of Surrey's skies unencumbered by clouds or light pollution. Our knowledgeable presenter will be your guide to the night sky, before taking off and flying to Mars, Jupiter and even outside the Milky Way.

Perfect for stargazers of any age (although astronauts under 4 may struggle), Stellar Safari is an easy-to-follow and comprehensive introduction to the universe we live in. No prior knowledge is needed to enjoy this whirlwind ride through the cosmos!

Please note the planetarium is NOT suitable for those with sensitivities to flashing lights and/or dizzying motion. If you require accessible facilities, please let us know in advance: c.elliott@wcsc.org.uk
