The human figure has been depicted by artists for centuries and is still a constant source of inspiration. Artists have represented the male and female body as a symbol, used its forms and shapes to explore power and movement, presented it to show allegories from mythology or simply celebrated the human body for its beauty, elegance or eroticism.
