Boomtown is known for its ever evolving immersive storyline and Chapter 8 did not disappoint with a show-stopping theatrical takeovers infiltrating every corner of the festival, culminating the the ‘revolutionaries’ bringing down the ‘regime’ and declaring that 'Paradise belongs to us’ to bring the power back to the people.
Boomtown ended with happy citizens, supposedly free of the tyrant's reign. However, whispers of what will unfold in Chapter 9: Behind the Mask have started circulating. Nothing has been announced as yet, but the stage is set for more twists and turns than ever before and with the structure of Boomtown’s society and economy hangs by in the balance…what secrets will be revealed when the Mask is unveiled?

Coventry's The Specials are without doubt the definitive 2Tone band of their generation. In the late '70s and early '80s they pioneered the new British ska sound and racked up seven Top 10 hits whilst exerting an influence on the fledgling genre that is beyond measure. The band reformed to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2009 and have since travelled all over the world and sold out hundreds of concerts.

Famed Jamaican musician David 'Ziggy' Marley, the oldest son of Bob Marley, has maintained a diverse career with his group The Melody Makers since the early '80s, most notably with albums such as Conscious Party and One Bright Day. Throughout the '90s, Ziggy had expanded on his career by founding the record label Ghetto Youths Crew and moved into politics, working with the United Nations. His current-day exploits include a collaboration with r'n'b singer Sean Paul, voicing Rasta Jellyfish in the animated film Shark Tale, and of course still touring internationally as ever.

Best known as a radio presenter on Saturday afternoons on BBC 6Music and as an international club DJ, Gilles Peterson is also an avid record collector, a curator, a music producer and record label boss. Every year he puts on two large events – the Worldwide Awards in London which are his annual showcase of that years best music and the Worldwide Festival which has expanded to two editions – one in south of France in July and one in Switzerland in March. He also presents a syndicated weekly radio show that is broadcast all over the globe, from Shanghai and Sydney to France and Germany. He has a long history of running record labels, including Acid Jazz in the late Eighties, Talkin Loud in the Nineties through to his current venture, Brownswood Recordings, which releases some of the best underground music around.

The the pseudonym of Andre Williams, Shy FX is a London based Drum And Bass and Jungle DJ, producer and remixer. He has produced for Dizzee Rascal and Yasmin and remixed for DJ Fresh. Shy FX crashed the British charts in 1994 with 'Original Nuttah', one of the most infectious Ragga-Jungle anthems of all time, and he quickly became one of Jungle's most respected producers.

Formed in 1966 by Adge Cutler, the Bard of Avonmouth, this bunch of haystack-headed, cider-soaked and dung-booted, not-quite-so-young Avonside lads play good-time traditional Zummerzet Scrumpy 'n' Western music. The band has had considerable commercial success, from their 1967 anthem Drink Up Thy Zider, to the heights of the chart-topping Combine Harvester in 1976. Big in Nempnett Thrubwell, The Wurzels continue to play over 100 shows a year to sell out crowds all over the country, with regular festival appearances at Bestival, Guilfest, Finsbury Park and Glastonbury.
