Tivoli favourite Joe Brown’s son, Pete Brown, has created this WONDERFUL band. Banjo, lap steel, mandolin, bass & percussion – Yeeha-hillbilly-blue-grass of all your favourite covers, “Message in a Bottle”, “Born to be Wild”, “(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real”, ‘Ace Of Spades’ ,“Moves Like Jagger” etc. All the musicians are from Joe’s band and you will have seen them here with Joe regularly over the past few years –that’s if you’ve been lucky to get a ticket because they usually sell out!

The Band
Pete Brown – Lead vocals, Lapsteel, Mandolin
Pete started his career playing guitar with his Dad Joe Brown at the tender age of 15 and went on to produce the multimillion selling “Stop” with his sister Sam Brown. Over the years he has worked with many top artists live and in the studio including Deep Purple, Dave Gilmour, George Harrison, Dusty Springfield, Edwin Star, Sade, Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Courtney Pine, Status Quo, Everything but the Girl and the specials to name but a few.

Phil Capaldi – Lead vocals, Drums, Percussion
Phil started his career playing in his brothers (Jim Capaldi – Traffic) band “The Contenders” as vocalist/percussionist. Over his career spanning 40 years Phil has worked and toured with many top artists from the UK and USA including Dave Edmunds, Steve Winwood, Status Quo, Bill Wyman, Dave Peacock, Henry Gross, the Nashville Super Pickers, Burrito Brothers, Don Gibson, Raymond Froggatt and many more. Phil has for the last 25 years been performing in Joe Browns touring and recording band as the drummer/percussionist/vocalist.

Richard Collins – Banjo, Mandolin, Backing vocals
Richard is a leading light of the UK Bluegrass scene, a three times winner of the UK Banjo championships, he has toured with many British and American artists. Richard also performs with classical mandolin ensemble, The Mandolinquents and has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Andy Crowdy – Double bass, backing vocals
Andy Crowdy is a well known and highly rated bass player on the UK jazz scene. He has performed with many UK players (Garry Potter, Dis Dizley, Clark Tracy, Alan Barnes and Tina May to name a few). Andy combines an incredible sense of rhythm and drive with a lyrical musicality which comes to the fore in his solos. Andy has a love of many musical styles leading him to playing rock, blues, folk and pop.
