‘Diddy’ David presents classic hits nostalgia show The Sensational live show celebrating the unforgettable music of the 1950s and ‘60s is heading back this way.

Hosted by former Top Of The Pops presenter and legendary radio broadcaster ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton, ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Back The Years’ is a nostalgic blast from the past that takes the audience on a swinging trip back in time to the golden decades of classic pop.

Fabulous hits made famous by stars such as Elvis, Cliff and The Shadows, Dusty, The Beatles, Cilla, Bobby Vee,

The Supremes, Roy Orbison, Connie Francis, The Everly Brothers and many others are performed by The Fugitives, one of the country’s best nostalgia bands, along with brilliant duo The Tiffany Girls and talented vocalist Ash Denver.

“I’m really thrilled to be on stage with such a hugely talented group of people,” says David, who acquired his

‘Diddy’ nickname when playing comedian Ken Dodd’s straight man in a 1960s TV series. “The aim is to give audiences an exciting night of nostalgia, humour and some of the best music ever made – the greatest songs of our lifetime, all in one evening. I can’t think of anything better.”

A regular host of TV’s ‘Top Of The Pops’ in the 1970s, David Hamilton has presented over 12,000 radio shows for BBC and commercial stations and over 1,000 TV shows mainly for BBC and ITV. In the mid-1970s his BBC-2 afternoon radio programme drew the biggest audiences of the day.

Throughout his long career David has interviewed many of pop music’s biggest names – he famously compered shows by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones – and will be telling stories about the stars he has met and treating his audience to a selection of the songs they put in the charts.
