The Art Of Murder

Sir John Fitzhall believes he has the answer to Britain's escalating crime rate: himself.

Inspired by the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle, he sets out to become a modern-day Sherlock Holmes ... but first he just needs to solve one good case to make himself a reputation.

Luckily, there's an art thief on the loose and, as happy coincidence would have it, Sir John has some art worth stealing. In the hope of luring the thief to his home in order to expose him, Sir John enlists the help of his butler, Wilson, to arrange an open invitation to would-be collectors to view the art at his country home, Mulberry House - which, luckily for us, is an isolated manor on a hill which doesn't get a mobile signal and, luckily for the purposes of theatrical conceit, might easily be cut off by,say, a heavy snowfall.

Six people reply to the invitation and arrive at Mulberry. But suddenly the guests start getting themselves murdered - which is good for Sir John, but not so good for the guests, since Sir John isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the cutlery drawer and it's started to snow heavily. Just who is the mysterious Mr Smith? Is Wilson everything he makes himself out to be? Is the thief in their midst? And if so has he or she also now got a taste for murder ... or is he or she among the victims being propped up in the dining room?
