Sunshine On Leith

A brilliant feel good show featuring the songs of The Proclaimers! Sunshine On Leith follows the highs and lows of Ally and his friend Davy as they return home to Leith from the army. Highlighting the struggles many soldiers face re-adjusting into Civvy Street after serving their country in various conflicts.

Families, friendships and life are not all plain sailing in this funny and moving story about love and life. Sunshine On Leith is a vibrant, energetic piece of musical theatre, loved by audiences and critics alike.

Writer Stephen Greenhorn is a hugely successful playwright and screenwriter whose many credits include Dr Who, River City & Passing Places.

This amateur production is presented by Whitley Bay Operatic Society.
