The Somerset Levellers

The Somerset Levellers have been playing together for some time now and have an extensive repertoire of lively traditional tunes, songs and dances from around the British Isles as well as music written by the band.

Our dances are mostly jigs, reels, polkas and waltzes played to traditional and band composed music in a lively and contemporary way. The dances are generally from England, Scotland, Ireland and America and are taught by an experienced and friendly caller and are interspersed with tunes and songs to allow dancers to 'catch their breath'.
