The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall opened in 1990 and was built for Glasgow's reign as European Capital of Culture; the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is a multi-purpose arts venue with a busy year-round programme of music, events and conferences.

Operated by Glasgow Life, which also runs Glasgow's City Halls and Old Fruitmarket venues, the hall plays host to classical, opera and ballet, musical theatre, talks, rock and pop, folk, world and country, swing and comedy.

The Main Auditorium is the largest performance space in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and can seat 2,475 people. The venue is also home to Celtic Connections, the world's largest winter music festival and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
