One Night With Joan : Joan Collins
For one night only, Ms Collins will share the stories and secrets of her celebrated career as one of the world’s most glamorous and intriguing personalities.
With the same engaging wit and frankness that turned her two memoirs Past Imperfect and Second Act into best-sellers Ms. Collins takes to the stage with honesty, style and grace.
Enjoy some memorable and surprising moments in Ms Collins life as she retells the up’s and down’s of an amazing career including rare and at times hilarious footage from her life and career, including her marriage to Anthony Newly, her screen test for Cleopatra and find out why she lost the role to Elizabeth Taylor, her first on-set encounter with Betty Davis, being broke and why and how Hollywood changed her fortune and of course some great out-takes from Dynasty.
Legendary Hollywood and television star, and best-selling author. Born in London, Joan's stage debut was in Ibsen's A Dolls House at the age of nine. This led to studies at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art and, at the age of 16, her first film contract. Since then Joan has appeared in countless films, TV programmes (notably Dynasty) and won numerous awards.
During the '80s Joan moved into the publishing world, with her first being Past Imperfect in 1985. In 1997 she was awarded an OBE for her lifetime contribution to the arts and her continuing charity work.
