25 Hour Interactive Comedy Fundraising Extravaganza For Red Nose Day : Mark Watson
Comedian Mark Watson attempts, for the first time, to perform for 25 hours straight, while similarly unwise people in the venue and all over the country take on their own 25-hour challenges in a gigantic festival of human endeavour, sleep deprivation, fundraising and idiocy – all for Red Nose Day 2013. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Red Nose Day, so in celebration Mark has decided to dedicate one hour to each of Red Nose Day’s 25 years.
There will be games, songs, stunts, endurance challenges, long periods of awkward silence. There'll be comic and celebrity guest appearances, once-in-a-lifetime prize auctions, spontaneous mayhem, planned mayhem. Above all, there will be one slightly delirious man talking for a very, very long time, trying to continue being funny while also maintaining basic human functions like eating and going to the toilet.
100% of the ticket price will go to Comic Relief.
The 2006 If.comedies Panel Prize Winner and Time Out's No 1 Critic's Choice. He was also a regular on BBC2's 'Mock The Week', host of ITV's 'Mark Watson Kicks Off', been in his own Radio 4 series, published successful novels and performed sell-out runs at the Adelaide and Melbourne comedy festivals and the Sydney Opera House.
'The highest achiever the Edinburgh Festival has seen this decade. A huge comic presence' (The Times)
'Simply Exhilarating' (The Daily Telegraph)
'Mark Watson is a Prodigy' (The Guardian).
Mark Watson was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2016.
