Army Medicine: From Leeches to Lasers (Part Two)

Examine the fascinating history of army medicine and its evolution from leeches to lasers in this unmissable in-depth speakers event.

Following on from the successful autumn event, this second day of talks continues the journey through medical history from the drug innovations of the Second World War to the contemporary medical developments which have secured the greatest survival rates in the history of warfare.

These talks will explore the relationship between medical and military advancements, spanning the development and mass production of penicillin to the introduction of personal tourniquets and the ‘golden hour’.
