One Day I'm Going To Soar - Live In The West End: Dexys
Dexys take their 'One Day I'm Going To Soar' show to the heart of London's West End with a run of performances at the historic Duke Of York's Theatre in April, presented by Metropolis Music
Having previously sold-out both of their London shows last year at Shepherd's Bush Empire and The Barbican, Kevin Rowland, Pete Williams, Big Jim Paterson, Mick Talbot, Lucy Morgan, Madelaine Hyland et al will perform One Day I'm Going To Soar in its entirety and in sequence, followed by a few Dexys favourites.
The troupe are delighted to be taking the show into such an historic venue, and feel the theatrical elements of the One Day I'm Going To Soar live show are far more suited to a theatre than a traditional rock venue.
One of the most experimental and original British bands of the early 80's, Kevin Rowland and company first broke big on the scene with no 1 hit 'Geno' in 1980. Always controversial, DMR played with pop, soul, folk and Celtic influences while constantly reshuffling the band and fighting the record companies. Now, having dropped the 'Midnight Runners', the band are back in 2012 with their fourth studio album, 'One Day I'm Going To Soar'. Featuring Kevin Rowland, Mick Talbot on keyboards, Pete Williams on bass and Jim Paterson on trombone, along with Neil Hubbard and Tim Cansfield on guitars, Madeleine Hyland on vocals, Lucy Morgan on viola and Ben Trigg leading the string section.
