The stand-up comedian, actor and improviser has been spreading joy and nonsense to all four corners of England, as well as the more choice bits of Wales and Scotland over the past few years. Crowned Comedy Cafe New Act of the Year in 2009, Ben hosted the prestigious Big Value Comedy Showcase at the Edinburgh festival in 2012.
'A sharp and crafty gagsmith with wittily obtuse takes on an impressively wide range of topics, bringing flair and confidence to them all' (http://www.chortle.co.uk)
'Highly promising... accomplished comic' (Time Out)
'Van der Velde brings a natural charm to proceedings from the outset, with some
wonderfully improvised riffs... showcasing his impressive spontaneity and
sharp tongue' (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine)
'Flaunted his razor-sharp wit to hilarious effect leaving the audience bent over double' (Three Weeks).
Ben Van Der Velde tour dates
Robert tells engaging stories, strong jokes and occasionally performs a bit of musical comedy. Material derives from his unusual life and abstract perspective as he twists his thoughts in a peculiar fashion culminating in always clever, often wordy and sometimes cruel humour.
'Robert White, probably – no definitely – the only asperger, dyslexic, cross lateral, gay, quarter-Welsh, webbed toed comedian on the circuit' (The Guardian).
Robert White tour dates
Chortle Best Newcomer nominee 2013 and Chortle Student Champion 2011 provides energetic one-liners and stories.
'The UK's Rob Delaney' (Graham Linehan)
'Batters the audience into laughter' (Chortle)
'One to watch' (Time Out).
Adam Hess tour dates
A London-based Jewish comedian who usually gives great value for money by doing a double show of his solo work. Ivor Dembina runs the Hampstead Comedy Club which he founded in 1994.
'Acclaimed Jewish comedian Ivor Dembina' (The Guardian)
'The success of the performance was down to Dembina's delivery, each quick fire gag delivered with the stereotypical panache natural to this veteran of the Jewish comedy scene. I would urge you to go and see what is an excellent show' (http://www.BroadwayBaby.com).
