Never miss another 'Alistair McGowan' show
On Shrove Tuesday, the nation's favourite impressionist, Alistair McGowan, goes back to his stand-up roots for a new 2 hour show in Leicester Cathedral asking big questions like:
Would the world be a happier place if Ed Miliband was PM?
What are we really thinking while watching Shakespeare?
Is Hilary Devey Jessie J's mum?
Hear everyone from Andy Murray to Colin Murray, and at least one song about butter.

The nation's favourite impressionist, also known for his brilliant stand-up and acting. McGowan is best known for his work with Ronni Ancona on The Big Impression (formerly Alistair McGowan's Big Impression), which spawned his culturally popular impressions of David Beckham, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Gary Lineker, Richard Madeley, Tony Blair, Ross Geller (Friends) and Dot Cotton (EastEnders). His one-man stand-up shows are also critically acclaimed.
"Wickedly funny mimicry"
- Sunday Mirror.
"Even if Alistair McGowan wasn't an impressionist and stuck simply to stand-up gaggery, he'd surely be one of the best comics on the circuit. As it is, he gives us a double layer of excellence"
