4 Men 4 Mencap: Brian Nash + Pete Wylie + Ian McNabb + Ian Prowse

Pete Wylie
Seminal Scouse maverick who, along with Ian McCulloch and Julian Cope, pioneered the Eighties art-indie scene. His debut gig was at the legendary Eric's in Liverpool - the night it was raided and closed down for ever. He bounced back with a series of bands - Wah! Heat, Wah! and The Mighty Wah! - and achieved chart success with the anthemic 'The Story Of The Blues' in 1982.
Still writing great songs, Wylie's shows provide entertainment both musically and through his extravagantly opinionated conversation. The man's a legend, miss him at your peril!

Ian McNabb
One of the great singer/songwriters to emerge from the 80s Liverpool music scene. Founder/lead singer with the chart toppers The Icicle Works, famous for the UK and US Top 40 hits "Love Is A Wonderful Colour" and "Whisper To A Scream (Birds Fly)", Ian McNabb has gone on to enjoy a critically-acclaimed solo career. The Mercury Music Prize nominated artist continues to write stunning songs with warmth, humour, cynicism and grandeur.

Ian Prowse
The vocalist and guitarist from Amsterdam and Pele playing a solo show. This man has played with Elvis Costello, John Peel counted him as one of his top five artists AND Christy Moore has covered one of his songs.
