Rumble In The Jungle: The Singing Kettle
There’s a Rumble in the Jungle as the Singing Kettle set out on their greatest ever adventure, deep into the undergrowth. Follow the Jungle beat on the hunt for Magical Coloured Kettles and find clues for songs that will captivate and enthrall the whole family.
Roars of laughter, colourful and dynamic costumes, and the sheer energy of the Singing Kettle makes Rumble in the Jungle a “must see” show in 2013.
There'll be music and mayhem, old friends and new, with plenty to sing about along the way. Packed with superb Singing Kettle favourites like, “Animals Went in Two by Two”, “Do Your Ears Hang Low” and “Jungle Party”. Some lucky children will get the chance to dress as fluffy creatures and help out on stage, with the brand new “Baby Animals Song”.
Bonzo the Dog causes pandemonium with his mischievous monkeying around as the intrepid explorers uncover hilarious surprises under thousands of funky ferns and behind every banana tree.
Be part of the action and join in with the masses of audience participation for this non-stop, totally awesome safari adventure. It’s a festival of fun for girls and boys of all ages.
Remember - Come dressed as your favourite wild animal to sing along with the sounds of the jungle.
This event takes place at The Scottish Event Centre & Clyde Auditorium (The Armadillo), which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Over the years, the Singing Kettle has grown from being a small show for children, touring playgroups and schools, to the biggest box office draw in the UK. Early shows were based on clues for songs inside brightly coloured kettles. While this principle is still central to the action, plot lines and stage sets are now built around imaginative story lines, transforming the original concept into a spectacular musical for the whole family.
Cilla Fisher, Artie Trezise and Kevin MacLeod with Gary Coupland have turned children's theatre into an art form and their unique performances have become the bench mark for fellow professionals everywhere. They have performed in hundreds of venues, from the Palladium in London to the Town Hall in Campbeltown, from the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock to the Royal Palace in Jordan. BAFTA award winning and decorated with MBE's for services to children's entertainment, audiences worldwide are hooked on their madcap musical adventures flavoured with cheeky Scottish humour.
Adults and children alike find themselves singing the songs together long after the performance is over.
'... a delight for kids, parents and grandparents alike. The laughter, singing and inter-action is contagious' (Edinburgh Evening News).
