Sarah Hall was born in Cumbria in 1974. She received a BA from Aberystwyth University, Wales, and a MLitt in Creative Writing from St Andrews, Scotland.
She is the author of Haweswater, which won the 2003 Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Novel, a Society of Authors Betty Trask Award, and a Lakeland Book of the Year prize.
Sarah's other novels include The Electric Michelangelo, The Carhullan Army and How To Paint A Dead Man.
Her first collection of short stories, titled The Beautiful Indifference, was published by Faber & Faber in November 2011, it won the Edge Hill short story prize and was short-listed for the Frank O'Connor Prize.

Bob Sheed gained an MA with Merit in Creative Writing from Sheffield Hallam University in 2010 and won the Norwich Writers’ Circle Open Award for Best Humorous Poem in 2011.
His poems and short stories have appeared in several anthologies and he performs regularly at events throughout East Anglia and South Yorkshire.
