Christmas Cracker: Crazy Arm + The Social Club + Muncie Girls + The Bon Bon Bons
Pitched somewhere between the dark twang of 16 Horsepower, the punk thrust of Fugazi and Hot Water Music, the crunchy pop of Ted Leo and the protest songs of Dick Gaughan, the band have developed a distinctly progressive and aggressive style, shot through with a healthy dose of grass-roots politics. They rely chiefly on folk/country open tunings and slide guitars to evoke moods that are at odds with the punk orthodoxy.
The seven piece Plymouth band are an accumulation of decades of influence and inspiration: rooted in hardcore/punk, ‘60s protest folk/country and classic rock’n’roll, combined with a grass-roots political overview that embraces anti-war, anti-fascist and pro-community activism.

Are you in need of exciting entertainment of the musical variety? Would you consider yourself a fan of a rock ‘n’roll guitar, a masterfully tinkled keyboard or a full-throated chorus in the style of Weezer, The Hold Steady or The Get Up Kids? More importantly, do you enjoy drinking, dancing and the finest in conversation?
Then join four piece band, The Social Club, the new home of sophistication and fun, where all are welcome!

Muncie Girls are Lande, Dean and Luke. Born from a love of punk shows and dive bars in 2012, the Exeter trio embody the classic punk rock story in a modern context. Fueled by discontent and anxiety, they eloquently address issues of modern living as a self-aware young adult. The result is an ambitious and poignant rebellion against social norms that touches on everything from politics to interpersonal relationships. A dynamic and emotional exploration of punk and indie rock.
