Sea Of Bees + Barbarossa + Cadbury Sisters
The extraordinarily talented Sacramento native Julie Ann Baenziger, better known as Sea of Bees, will be bringing her beautifully idiosyncratic and effortlessly moving vein of off-kilter folk to the UK once again, on the heels of the release of her next single “Gone”, from her critically lauded sophomore album “Orangefarben”, released earlier this year on Heavenly Recordings.
As is coming to be typical of Sea of Bees, “Gone” is a gorgeous slice of offbeat, emotive guitar pop, as instantly infectious as it is deeply affecting. Stunning, concise, uplifting but with a roiling undertow, a song all the more potent when you see Sea of Bees live onstage.
Sea Of Bees is singer/songwriter Julie Baenziger from Sacramento, signed in the UK to Heavenly records. "An impeccable knack for infusing despair with charm. Her pain is the loveless kind and she conveys it in a voice equal parts twang and coo, backed by lush country folk and gossamer bedroom haze.” -SPIN.

The solo project of London-based multi-instrumentalist James Mathé, Barbarossa makes minimalist folk, R&B and electronic-influenced pop. He first appeared under the Barbarossa name in 2005 releasing the mini album Sea Like Blood as part of the Fence Collective Picket Fences series.
He has also spent time working with Swedish singer/songwriter Jose Gonzalez, playing in both his backing band and Gonzalez' other project Junip. These collaborations combined with his own varied musical experiences inspired the intimate, spare compositions on his second album, Bloodlines, which was released by Memphis Industries in 2013.

Like all the interesting things in life, The Cadbury Sisters come with a secret – their great great grandfather was William Cadbury, the man behind the world famous chocolate company. Jessica (vocals and percussion), Mary (vocals and electric guitar) and Lucy Cadbury (vocals and acoustic guitar) are his direct descendants and yes, they are all sisters. Their goal is simple; to take the spirit of traditional English Folk music, infuse its DNA with contemporary influences such as Bat For Lashes, Daughter and First Aid Kit before disseminating it into the world.
