Kaiser Chiefs + Night Engine
Currently writing new material for the follow-up to 'The Future Is Medieval', Kaiser Chiefs head out on a UK tour in February.
Kaiser Chiefs are the recipients of various awards over the past six years, including three Brits, Ivor Novello's, plus other assorted accolades. The band have also generated in excess of six million album sales - including the debut chart topping soundtrack of 2005 'Employment' - whilst cementing a worldwide reputation as a phenomenal live act.
This event takes place at O2 Apollo Manchester, which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Five indie pop kids from Leeds who in less than two years went from self-financing their first single to getting signed by Universal and becoming the darlings of the British music press. The infectious enthusiasm of their music and the unique viewpoint of their lyrics has seen them compared to Franz Ferdinand, Blur, The Clash, and Madness, but their passionately dedicated fans know that this band are true originals.

Night Engine formed in January 2012. In October 2012 they uploaded a track of theirs called 'I'll Make It Worth Your While' to Soundcloud. In that same month, and with a host of sites linking to the track and running intro pieces on the band, they played their debut London show at the Sebright Arms. It was a total sell out and prompted Louder Than War to note that "Infallibly perfect bands don't come around every day" by way of explanation.
Even the Americans seemed to want to be in at the beginning with MTVHive.com declaring "This band is pretty awesome". A single of the week on The Guardian music podcast and the bold assertion that "this is a swaggering, sexy hit waiting to happen" made sure that, if you missed it, Night Engine were very firmly in the ones to watch category for 2013.
