Krater Comedy Club: Stuart Goldsmith, Chris Martin, Maff Brown, Sally-Anne Hayward
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Whether cheering up a distressed child, helping prevent a riot, or genuinely saving another human's actual life, Stuart Goldsmith is excellent in a crisis. When the chips aren't down however, it's a very different story... Exhilarating stand-up about embracing anxiety, conquering indecision, and getting tasered.
'Intriguing and invigorating' (The Scotsman)
'Marries pitch-perfect audience repartee with cleverly woven tales of the everyday' (The Independent)
'A fine jokesmith' (Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard)
'Probably one of the most likeable acts on the circuit' (Metro)
'A pitch-perfect performance, every nuance carefully calculated for maximum impact… a set rich with wordplay' (Chortle).

His wholly original social commentary, observations and anecdotes are his trade mark. He brings intelligent material as well as simple immature jokes to any room. He enjoys gigging all over the country to any audience, whether he is MC or doing a set. Chris Martin is a keen observer and uses his uniquely twisted logic as he often tackles ‘earth shattering’ problems.
'Hilarious... takes this year's Fringe by the scruff of the neck' (Metro)
'Destined for greatness... he's got charm, anecdotes, callbacks and a worrying father' (The Sunday Times)
'One of the UK's best young observationalists' (The Guardian)
'Charming and good looking... Martin looks to me like a late-stage prototype of the genuine article' (Chortle).

Maff Brown began performing in November 2005. His weekly club, Outside The Box Comedy Club, was nominated and won the prestigious Best Comedy Club Award from the renowned website chortle.co.uk.
Brown tours the UK comedy circuit developing his own material. March 2007 saw him tackle the comedy clubs in New York City and has had numerous gigs in London's legendary Comedy Store, most popular were the charity fundraiser gigs for Macmillan Cancer Support. These have been held on each September after his return from the Edinburgh festival.
2007 saw a successful gig with Brown hosting and the bill including Dara O'Briain, Russell Howard and was headlined by Al Murray. 2008 was a total sell out with The Independent heralding the evening as 'A triumph!'
'Maff is one of those comics that doesn't need to try. Jokes fall out of him like gold coins coming out of a pirate's chest' (Frank Skinner)
'I think Maff Brown is very funny, but if you don't agree you can still laugh at his stupid hair' (Stephen Merchant)
'Brilliant stand up, great material' (Bill Bailey)
'Jokes fall out of him like gold coins from a pirate's chest' (Frank Skinner)
'The love child of Leo Sayer and a performing seal' (Jack Dee).

Sally-Anne is charming and popular, with a winning brand of autobiographical humour. She'll take you on a journey through her slightly eccentric world, including insights into the female psyche and her compulsion to send off spoof job applications.
'Small-time country posh life versus young lady breaking into the stand-up circuit. Fabulous!' (BBC London Live)
'It's easy to imagine Hayward at the 02 or guesting on QI. She is a crowd-pleaser and a straightforward observational comic, but so are most of Britain's favourite comedians today. Hayward is easily the equal of any of them' (The Skinny)
'Innate effusive likeability with straightforward but effective writing... a primetime act' (http://www.Chortle.co.uk)
'Exceptionally funny' (The Independent).
