Un-Peeled is a special series of events in Preston and Manchester to celebrate John Peel Day, exclusively featuring artists who recorded radio sessions for the legendary BBC DJ either in their current or previous incarnations. This all-day show, across two venues in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has a stellar line-up representing over 80 Peel sessions, including many people Peel and his producer John Walters asked back to record time after time.

Darker and more experimental than the likes of My Bloody Valentine or Loop, The Telescopes have yet to achieve the commercial success they perhaps deserve. Now Stephen Lawrie has now re-awakened the beast with a clutch of new songs and a slimmed down line-up.

“Yeah Yeah Noh were my favourite mix of sneery post-punk and swooshy psychedelia. And now they’re back” … Stewart Lee
Yeah Yeah Noh were a post-punk group formed in Leicester, England in 1984. They released two albums and five singles while still together, and have had two compilation albums issued since they split in 1986. As of summer 2012, Yeah Yeah Noh are back together and are playing live.
Yeah Yeah Noh tour dates
Legendary indie garage-rock band from London reactivated for the 21st Century. Originally formed as teenagers in 1984, the band released four critically acclaimed LPs before initially disbanding in 1990, after appearing on the legendary and influential C86 cassette, and touring the UK and Continent extensively.
The band reformed properly in 2006 at the request of St Etienne’s Bob Stanley to celebrate 20 years since the release of C86, and inflicted a severe guitar noisefest on an unsuspecting indiepop crowd at London’s ICA. Since 2012 they have been recording and releasing new material.
The Wolfhounds tour dates
Front man from MCR legends A Certain Ratio. Jez's new solo band includes long time collaborator Keo on guitar and keyboards, Lucy Power on guitar and Raul C on drums.
Following the success of his new single Control Myself (http://itun.es/gb/bMpC4)? Jez steps out for a solo project playing live up and down the country. His well received Marc Riley session on BBC 6 music gave glimpses of a harder more menacing sound. Well worth checking out.
Jez Kerr tour dates
Huge pounding psychedelic kraut rock with a filthy triple bass guitar assault. Featuring members of Fuzz Against Junk and The Heads, this new Bristol duo looks set to be really rather heavy indeed.
The Big Naturals tour dates
