Metal Hammer Razor Tour: Devil Sold His Soul + Heights + Heart Of A Coward + Steak Number Eight
The Metal Hammer Razor tour is back! Headlining this year's epic trek promoting the very best in heavy new music are brilliant post-hardcore mob Devil Sold His Soul, with support coming from one of the best new hardcore acts in the UK in Heights, plus brutal, tech-heavy newcomers Heart Of A Coward and Belgian sludgemeisters Steak Number Eight! If you love your music fresh and heavy, you need to get involved.
Devil Sold His Soul are set to release their brand new third studio album, 'Empire Of Light', on September 17th through their new label, Small Town Records. Produced and mixed by Jonny Renshaw (guitarist from the band, head honcho from Bandit Studios – Rinoa, Ancients, The Elijah), and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side (Converge, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan), 'Empire Of Light' is the first album since the bands departure from old label, Century Media, last year.
A band rising from the ashes of Mahumodo.
'High expectations have not been disappointed. The Mahumodo power and feeling remain, but now broader ideas, a wider spectrum, more experimentation, have been introduced. This band takes as starting points the cerebral structures of Tool, the fearsome musical musculature of Will Haven and the sweeping emotion of Deftones'- The Cavern Club, Exeter.

Heights are a five-piece hardcore band hailing from Welwyn Garden City. They recently completed work on their debut EP 'The Land, The Ocean, The Distance', combining the distinctive sounds of Hertfordshire hardcore with epic progressions to create an ambitious record that pays no heed to the usual restrictions of the hardcore scene.

UK heavyweight groove metal quintet. Now with a different lineup, welcoming ex-Sylosis front man Jamie Graham as the new vocalist.

With an average age of just 18, Steak Number Eight are probably the youngest hard rock band in Belgium to enjoy genuine national success; at the age of 15 they won the HUMO Rock Rally, hosted by Belgium's biggest rock magazine, making them national treasures. With a confidence and professionalism far beyond what one would expect from such a young band, their live performance is more an experience than a show - enormous, hard-hitting riffs sandwiched between moody, atmospheric interludes, with the band themselves reminiscent of what a supergroup consisting of members of Isis, Mastodon and Killing Joke might sound like if fronted by a young Kurt Cobain.
