Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Interactive Theatre International
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is a site-specific, 'total immersion' piece of interactive comedy theatre performed in a restaurant. It has been touring Australia and Asia since 1997 and in 2008 debuted in Europe to huge and continuing public and critical acclaim. Four teams of cast now tour the world non-stop.
Interactive to the core, only a third of the show is scripted, so it's new every time. In a pitch perfect tribute to Fawlty Towers that features all the best gags and a three-course meal, the fun starts as you wait to be seated. It then hurtles along for two hours where the audience are the diners and Sybil, Basil and Manuel their warring waiters...
3-Course Lunch and 2-hour Interactive Show

Performance commences: 2:00 pm
Interactive Theatre International is a Professional Theatre Company based in Brisbane, Australia, and founded in 1997. Interactive Theatre as a concept removes the boundaries normally associated with theatrical performance: they are not limited to the traditional stage of mainhouse theatre; and whilst some scripting is involved, a great deal of the performance is improvised, bouncing off ideas offered by audience members.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience was born in 1997. Since then, it has developed hugely, especially to take into account the many overseas territories and cast members it now includes. Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is now performed in 20+ countries a year.
Watch out for more productions by ITI, like The Wedding Reception – which won 5* reviews in its debut performances in 2015 at Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe and in London’s Covent Garden.
